tHE brief
The image is composed of a timeline, which is the centerpiece.
The timeline spans on 40 years from the first report of the HIV epidemic in 1981 to nowadays.
The timeline remains at the center of the image but each point/event should be illustrated with an icon to add interest.
The icons presented around the timeline should help understand easily the incident/fact: each event will be easier to find because it will have more visibility.
Icons should be easy to understand and stay simple to add clearness.All the icons should keep the same style to present a certain unity in the image.
Colors chosen to have some red to be in line with the red that is commonly used to symbolize AIDS. This red is a bit darker to add a bit of modernity as compared to the usual red that is normally used.In this illustration, red is associated to green, its complimentary color.
